Taizé - Pilgrimage of Trust

A message from Fr. Mike Boehm, Vicar for Priests for the St. Louis Archdiocese...

Dear Brothers,

Easter greetings!

As you already know, Archbishop Carlson has invited brothers from the Community of Taizé, France to St. Louis this coming Memorial Day Weekend (May 26-29) to lead us in a “Pilgrimage of Trust”.  The community of brothers in Taizé are most famously known for their unique style of meditative prayer and song, but also for the great work in building up relationships and authentic human encounters.

In light of our beONE goal of Promoting Human Dignity and Social Responsibility, this “Pilgrimage of Trust” weekend will bring together people of all faiths, races, and various backgrounds for common prayer, discussion and healing.  Ecumenical preparation amongst our brother and sister churches has already begun and the work of the pilgrimage event will bear much fruit not only on the weekend itself, but also in the days leading up to and following the event to help heal the divides in our region.

More details on the prayer nights, the weekend itself and the host family needs can be found at www.pilgrimageoftruststl.com.

Thank you for your prayers and support.  Be assured of my prayers for you and the people you serve.

Fr. Mike Boehm
