What is a Luke 18 Retreat?
The Luke 18 retreat is a weekend long retreat for the and grade teens. The retreat combines skits, games, talks, and prayer in order to help them begin to apply ownership to the faith that their parents have given them. The retreat is given under the direction of the Msgr. Henry Breier, Libby Harbaugh, Tommy Majda, and numerous other college and high school aged students to help your teens witness their faith through talks, skits, games, and prayer.
Where does my child stay at night?
The Lukers stay at sleep houses, which are houses voluntarily opened by parents of the teens. Each sleep house gets 5-6 Lukers and 2 Disciples (high school/college student) that stay at the house and maintain a prayerful and controlled atmosphere. Each year. different Luker parents have volunteered to open their houses and therefore each year we need different volunteers. Being a sleep house consists of simply having a floor for the teens to put their sleeping bags on and a bathroom for showers. No teen will spend the night at their own house.
